Standards, Assessment, and Accountability Division

The reports below, for the district as a whole and for individual schools, display for each year in a five-year period the number of students tested and the percentage of those students who scored at or above the Proficient level on the selected California Standards Test (CST) subject area tests, as well as the change in percent at or above proficient from the first year (2004) to the last year (2008) and from the previous year (2007) to the most recent year (2008). Each page displays results for all students and for categories of students in each of six dimensions:

    1. Gender (female and male)
    2. Race/ethnicity (African American, Asian, Filipino, Hispanic, Indochinese, Native American, Pacific Islander, and white)
    3. English fluency (English learners and English-speaking students, and--within English-speaking--reclassified English learners and originally fluent English-speaking)
    4. Economic status (economically disadvantaged and non-economically disadvantaged)
    5. Gifted status (gifted and not gifted)
    6. Special education status (special education and not special education).

The results are displayed in table form for either English language arts and mathematics, science (end-of-course and NCLB core), or history/social science, for both the school or district as a whole and for each grade level.
