Standards, Assessment, and Accountability Division

The California Standards Tests (CST) in English language arts, mathematics, end-of-course science, NCLB (grade-level) science, and history/social science are comprised of items that were developed specifically to assess students' performance on California's content standards. The State Board of Education adopted the content standards specifying what all California children are expected to know and be able to do. The content standards are grade and course specific.

Unless otherwise stated, all report types include district-level and individual school data.

Note: The results posted here may differ slightly from state-reported results. These summaries are based on data that have been updated to make results more accurate (e.g., demographic data corrected, duplicate results eliminated, assignment of students to more detailed locations). District-level results also differ. District summaries posted here include all district students; state-reported district-level data do not include district school sites which contracted directly with the test publisher for their test administration.
