The Board of Education and District have set a high priority on professional development. According to the district's Strategic Process, the District has the goal of "providing targeted professional development to build... capacity and knowledge to support student learning success..."
Current Professional Development & Training Opportunities
Eligible personnel can now enroll in one of Brandman’s online programs or ground-based programs at its San Diego campus at a reduced rate.
Teams of teachers and administrators from middle and high schools are encouraged to attend. Schools are urged to sponsor teams that combine science, English language arts and history-social science.
Block of three training sessions teaching concepts related to trauma-informed care. Classes are free but require registration. Deadline to register: April 18.

The web-based system Electronic Registrar On-line (ERO) has been activated for employees to sign up for all professional development and training provided by the district.
User-friendly features include: a quick-search for course descriptions, printing ‘transcripts’ of past courses, automated waiting lists and course reminders, driving directions and a direct link to the district’s substitute system (SAMS).
