About Policies and Procedures The Board of Education of the San Diego Unified School District is responsible for carrying out certain state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The board adopts policies to implement these mandates and also to meet the needs and desires of the community. The superintendent is responsible for the development of administrative procedures for implementing the district's policies. The Administrative Procedures and the District Policy manual are maintained by the Parent, Community, and Student Engagement Office, (619) 725-8193. The manuals are organized to follow the basic classification system of the National School Boards Association. |
