In November 2010, the vendor for the district's Student Information System, Zangle, went out of business. Since that time, the district has not had a support provider for Zangle. In addition, Zangle is written on an outdated software platform that cannot be upgraded. These critical issues prompted the District to look for and ultimately select a new SIS through a Request For Proposal (RFP) process.

On December 13, 2011, The Board of Education approved the Five-Year Enterprise Software Plan Adobe PDF which included implementing a new SIS to replace Zangle. After a thorough selection process using the District’s RFP process, a committee comprised of both school site and central office staff selected Pearson PowerSchool as its final recommendation for Board approval. On May 15, 2012, the Board approved the committee’s recommendation. For more details, see Item E.34 from the May 15, 2012 Board Meeting.
