Shadow Your Student Day

Experience a Day
in the
Life of your Middle School Child

Details for the next "Shadow Your Student Day" will be posted in August, 2009.

At this popular yearly event, parents get a first hand look at their children’s school experience by following them through a minimum day class schedule. Shadow Your Student Day is a terrific opportunity to get to know Pershing, connect with your child’s teachers, and to see your child’s school day through his or her eyes.

We look forward to sharing this day with you.

 Shadow Your Student Day 2008

On September 26, 2008 nearly 350 parents spent the school day participating in Pershing's annual Shadow Your Student Day. This rewarding experience enabled parents to share in their children's school life and to see their children's academic experience at a new level. Many teachers even included parents in their day's curriculum. For example, in Mrs. O'Leary's 8th grade Geometry class, parents worked on some very difficult equations while in Mrs. Sanders' Humanities class, parents were treated to student presentations. Thank you to the faculty, administration, staff, students, and parents for making this such a memorable day!
