So
many milestones have occurred since this year's 8th grade class
first entered Pershing as 6th graders in 2005. They have grown from
children right out of elementary school to young men and women who
are prepared to take that next step into high school. The Class of
2008 has had such a strong and positive presence on our campus
during their three years at Pershing. Their hard work and enthusiasm
have benefited our entire school and we will miss them very much. On
June 16, 2008, Pershing Middle School celebrated this outstanding
class at the 2008 Promotion Ceremony. The standing room only crowd
of families and friends cheered as the students' academic
achievements were honored at our outdoor celebration. Thank
you to our faculty, staff, administrators, and Mr. Anderson and the
Pershing Band for making this year's event so wonderful. Extra
special thank you's to Mr. William A. Kowba, SDUSD Chief Logistics
Officer, and Mrs. Pat Crowder, Patrick Henry High's principal, who
were guest speakers at the ceremony. Congratulations
to the Class of 2008! We are so proud of you and we wish you all the
best in high school! |
