** Parents, please note: After half-time,
Lewis & Pershing students are free to leave. You are OFFICIALLY
released to your parents at this time. If you want to stay and play after
halftime, you are more than welcome to. HOWEVER, PARENTS must be
present by half-time to insure your pick up immediately after the game.**

The Pershing Band Boosters invite you to
join us for dinner at the Souplantation restaurant in La Mesa (9158
Fletcher Parkway) on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Print out the
attached flyer and bring it to the restaurant between 5:00-8:00 p.m.,
purchase a meal AND a beverage and Souplantation will donate 15% of your
purchase to the Pershing Band program. We hope to see you there!

TRIP!!!!

Location: Convention Center - Downtown
The 7th
Grade String Orchestra will perform at the CSNA Food Service Convention at
the Convention Center (Downtown) January 9, 2009. A
packet has been sent home but one will also be available to download soon.
We need a
few parent volunteers to transport instruments. Please contact Mr.
Anderson if you can help.

for Band and Orchestra
These are both outstanding
performance opportunities and look very nice on college resumes.
If you are thinking about going after a music scholarship, Honor Band
participation is the place to start.
