Pershing’s Head Counselor, Marci Blodgett
helps our students and their families make the transition from
middle school to high school. Ms. Blodgett will meet with all
8th graders in their English classes during the second semester.
She will answer questions and
review how to complete the Henry scheduling cards for the student's
9th grade year.
Also
during your child's 8th grade year, Mrs. Blodgett will present a high school orientation meeting for parents. This meeting,
which is separate from the parent orientation at Patrick Henry,
enables parents to review the District
Grade 8 Retention/Promotion Guidelines, requirements for 8th grade
promotion, scheduling/enrollment for Patrick
Henry High and California high school graduation requirements. Post
high school options, including college entrance requirements, are also discussed. |
