Same great program, same great leaders, but a brand new name! Starting in the fall of 2008, 6 to 6 will be known as PrimeTime. We will be updating this page in late August, 2008 with information about Pershing's PrimeTime schedule for 2008-09.

Dear Families of the YMCA 6 to 6 After School Program at Pershing Middle School,

Welcome to the 2007/2008 after school program. We would like to inform you about our program, requirements for participation, and also the policies and expectations we need you and your child to follow. Our program will provide the following benefits for you and your child:

* Academic and enrichment activities
* Homework tutoring 
* Recreational activities and games
* Arts and crafts
* Drama productions (2 Per Year) 
* Daily snack 

Program Daily Schedule
6:00-7:30 a.m. Morning Program
2:10-2:20 Students sign in
2:20-3:10 Homework Hour
3:10-3:45 Recreation Hour
3:45 Late bus leaves (T,W,TH)
4:15-5:30 Clubs/Activities
5:30-6:00 Clean-up/Sign Out

Requirements for Participation at the YMCA 6 to 6 Program at Pershing Middle School:

1. All students must have turned in completed enrollment forms filled out by a parent prior to their first day of attendance.
2. Students are expected to attend a minimum of 3 Days Per Week and 1 hour per day. If this requirement is not met weekly, your child will be dropped from the program. 
3. It is the responsibility of you and/or your child to sign into and out of the program daily. If your child will not be attending on a certain day, please notify staff with a note.
4. We need the Parent and Student contracts turned in with enrollment forms.

Policies and Expectations:

* Students need to follow school rules, 6 to 6 program rules and the YMCA Core Values: Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility. 
* Students will report and need to be signed in at the designated homework rooms by 2:20 daily. (6th grade- Cafeteria/ 7th grade-Library/ 8th grade- Room 1004a)
* Students will listen to staff encouragement, follow daily schedule, bring Math homework, a book to read, make new friends, feel safe and have fun.
* Students should not use foul language, steal, get into fights, or exhibit inappropriate behavior.
* Students are expected to go to 6 to 6 staff to resolve problems.
* Students are not allowed to make cell phone calls during program unless they have staff permission.
* Program closes at 6:00 pm Monday- Friday. Three late pick-ups will result in your child being dropped from the program.

Program Discipline: 

Failure to follow program rules, school rules, expectations of 6 to 6 staff, teachers, and school administrators will result in a warning, a write up, suspension and/or disenrollment from the program. 
Severe infractions such as fighting, bullying, inappropriate behavior and language will result in an immediate suspension or disenrollment from the after school program. It is crucial that your child review, understand, and follow the rules of the program to ensure their success after school at Pershing Middle School.
