Pacific Beach Elementary Wins Award from Technology Training Foundation of America
On November 6th at the Scottish Rite Center in Mission Valley, Pacific Beach Elementary was recognized by the Technology Training Foundation of America. In front of a black-tie crowd at their annual event, PB Elementary received a Tech Tools for Schools Certificate of Award in recognition for the "Gettin' Greedy for the Needy" educational program "for it's commitment to providing student's with the tools and training necessary to compete in our technology world." The educational program, created and taught by David Sandler in his 4th/5th Grade Gate Cluster Classroom, received the 3rd Place Award from this national organization of technology training professionals and was sponsored in part by Time Warner Cable company. Besides direct recognition for it's efforts in furthering technology skills among our students, Pacific Beach Elementary will also receive a substantial gift of classroom computers on which to extend technology education at our school. We are incredibly proud of our faculty and students as they work to understand and succeed in today's technology-based society.
