Welcome Parents, Guardians and Families

We are committed to communicating with and engaging parents as partners in their child’s education. The district has adopted Parent Communications and Involvement Standards, which clearly describe expectations for parent communications and involvement at the district, school, classroom, and home levels. We are also committed to obtaining community resources for our school and invite all members of our community to assist us in the education of our students.

Parents have many opportunities to be involved at their children’s school site (for example, governance committees, special events, fundraising events, parent organizations, and in classrooms) and at the district level (for example, district councils/committees, Parent University, and special events).

We encourage parents to support their children at home by making their expectations about school clear and creating a positive homework and learning environment. Parents are regularly invited to school functions, most frequently to our whole-school assemblies and Student of the Month celebrations. In addition, parents participate in conferences with teachers and front office staff, and attend Parent Nights that range in theme from ninth grade transitions to financial aid for college.

If you want to get involved, please contact Joe Austin, principal.
