  • Are the heart and soul of the community
  • Have parity of the physical facilities and structures
  • Improve student learning and achievement
  • Improve accountability

The following needs were identified through a comprehensive planning process, which included input from school site representatives to cluster meetings, district departments and other assessment measures.

The language below will be included in the bond resolution:

Project Improvements to Support Student Learning and Instruction

  • Provide 21st century technology upgrades, including audiovisual projection capabilities for all students
  • 
Provide a wireless network (WIFI) 


School Improvements to Support Student Health, Safety and Security

  • Replace obsolete fire alarm and emergency communications system
  • Renovate food service area, including cafeteria, to increase service efficiency and provide healthier food choices
  • Install security lighting, as well as, increase vandalism and intrusion safeguards, including modifications to fencing, to secure site
  • Remove or minimize risks of any potentially hazardous material throughout the facility
  • 
Modify site to expand bus drop-off and loading area 

  • Improve pedestrian safety in parking areas and other circulation space on site

Projects to Improve School Accessibility, Code Compliance Upgrades

  • 
Renovate existing restrooms and locker rooms 

  • Renovate gym, including new bleachers, to meet accessibility regulations
  • Improve accessibility to all classrooms, labs, restrooms, and other school facilities to comply with accessibility regulations, including ADA Titles l & ll
  • Renovate old bleachers, including new press box with elevator/lift
  • Upgrade fields and track to improve safety and to comply with accessibility regulations

  • Provide new accessible restrooms with storage for stadium and fields
