    Special Guest: Ms. Andrea Macken, M.A., B.C.B.A, with the Comprehensive Autism Center will be providing helpful tips to assist parents and providers with summer outings into the community for children with behavioral, physical, intellectual or developmental disabilities.

    . Community Providers will have an opportunity to briefly discuss the benefits of their organization
    . The Forum will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and/or express concerns

    To Enroll Your Child at the Event*
    1. Schedule an enrollment appointment by emailing EnrollmentFair@sandi.net.
    Type “Appointment Request” in the Subject Line. You will receive an email asking
    for additional information and then an appointment will be scheduled.
     
    2. Collect documents needed for enrollment appointment: proof of residence,
    immunization records, previous school records, and your child’s birth certificate.
     
    3. Bring documents with you to your enrollment appointment on August 3.

  • StoryCorps Preserves Stories of Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families

    StoryCorps program is dedicated to recording and preserving the stories of veterans, service members, and military families. These conversations are recorded on a CD, and with permission they are preserved in the Library of Congress archives for future generations.

    There are limited appointment slots available, and for the next few days these slots are dedicated to military. Then, scheduling will open to the public.

    Encourage our military troops to contact StoryCorps ASAP.

    Send name, phone number and email address to mvi@storycorps.org. They will be contacted to schedule an appointment on the USS Midway between June 4th and June 21st.

    If you know someone with a great story to share from their military experience, please encourage them to share it for future generations.

  • Dads Corps Parenting Workshops

    Supporting military dads in having a better relationships with their spouses and children.
     
    The program has been modified from 12 weeks to 6 weeks.
    This might prove easier for our servicemen to participate because of their schedules and operational commitments.
     
    The next group starts May 23, 2013 and runs to June 27, 2013.
