Standards-Based Report Card (SBRC)

The San Diego Unified School District uses a Standards-Based Report Card (SBRC) at the elementary level. Standards describe what a student should know and be able to do at each grade level in all subjects.

The report card tells parents whether or not their child is proficient—the child has met grade-level standards, basic— the child is approaching the standards, below basic—child has not met the standards, or advanced—the child has exceeded the standards. The report card also provides information about student work habits.
