On
June 29th, the Board of Education adopted a budget for the 2010-11
school year. This budget once again includes deep cuts to educational
programs, a reduction of five instructional days for the school year and
other reductions. The full detailed District Budget Book should be
published for public review on this web page before the end of July.

The San Diego Unified School District has worked diligently over the last year to involve our school communities and the public in the budget development process. That process offered extensive opportunities for the parents and the general public to share their views about the budget with the Board including five town hall meetings, attended by an average of 200 citizens and residents. See the Podcasts page for recordings of these meetings and news coverage.
