IT On-Site Support :: SDUSD

When to Call IT On-Site SupportService Description

IT On-Site Support provides face-to-face support for your school’s office staff members who need on-the-job assistance in the areas of Zangle, ZangleConnection, Encore, and DataScanner after you have attended training. We assist your school’s office staff and classroom teachers with “how-to” questions related to enrollment, scheduling, attendance, special education/IEPs, behavior, health, mark reporting, standards-based report cards, assessments, and reporting. We also work one-on-one with each school’s Power User to help resolve data issues using a variety of methods, including phone, email, web conferencing, remote access, and instant messaging.

It is our goal to improve the quality of the district’s student information by identifying existing data problems and working with office staff to fix those problems. We also strive to help refine users’ skills and increase the level of knowledge of student-related applications throughout the district.

The Power User Model

The IT Department requests that each school and department specifies Power Users for Zangle and Encore. A Power User is a staff member that uses the application the most, and is responsible for being the site's go-to person for questions and issues related to the application. The Power User receives emails from IT Training & Support and is responsible for forwarding them to his or her staff as necessary.The Power User is the appropriate person to contact IT On-Site Support.

Rather, the team members coach and assist the school staff by guiding them to help get tasks completed accurately and efficiently. Also, we are unable to resolve hardware, network, server, or password issues. If you are experiencing one of these problems, please call the IT Help Desk at (619) 725-7500.
