Old Town/Balboa Park Programs

Morning Service
Students currently receiving school bus transportation will ride their regular bus to school.

OCILE bus departure from sites: 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. (based on AM bell time*)
OCILE bus arrival at program: 9:30 to 9:55a.m. (based on AM bell time*)

*At schools with an AM bell time of 9:00 a.m. or later, buses will depart 15 minutes after the bell. Depending on travel time, students will arrive at the OCILE program between 9:30 and 9:55 A.M.

Afternoon Service

Bus departure from program to sites: 3:35 p.m.

Students will be returned to their school of attendance with the following exceptions:

Magnet students may choose to be delivered to one of the following elementary schools:

Their school of attendance.
Their resident (neighborhood) elementary school.
The elementary school based on the student's bus service address.

VEEP and Capacity students will be delivered to their resident (neighborhood) elementary schools, within the VEEP/Capacity feeder pattern.

Special Education students will be delivered to their regular afternoon bus stop.

All students have the option of being returned to their school of attendance. Parents must complete and return the Transportation Services for Balboa Park/Old Town form included in the parent packet.

(Note: p.m. routes may require up to 90 minutes from departure to complete.)

Palomar Program

Bus arrival at sites: Monday: 9:00 a.m.
Bus departure for Palomar: Monday: 9:30 a.m.
Bus departure from Palomar to sites: Friday: 11:00 a.m.

(Note: Approximate travel time to Palomar is 2 hours, 15 minutes.)
