OCILE TRANSPORTATION PROCEDURE FOR DEALING WITH A CHILD WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHERE HE/SHE LIVES

Outlined below is the procedure to be followed in the event a student is unaware of his/her home school (school of geographic residence) or is not sure how to go home from his/her school of geographic residence.


Step 1 OCILE staff determines child does not know his/her way home
Step 2 OCILE staff contacts parent.
Step 3 Transportation is called to determine school of residence. Parents are called to meet the child.
Step 4 If Steps 1-3 are unsuccessful, child is transported to Lindbergh/Schweitzer School.
Step 5 If a child is not picked up by the parent or guardian by 6 p.m., he/she will be transferred to Polinsky Center.
