Please
refer to the district webpage for current enrollment
priorities.
Transportation
The
district generally provides free transportation for students
who attend magnet programs outside their neighborhood school
boundary and having a walking distance exceeding two miles (Note:
Secondary students must have a walking distance exceeding 2.5
miles). Transportation may not be provided to elementary/secondary
students attending a magnet school within their resident middle
school/high school feeder pattern. Transportation is available
on the first day of school for students who have enrolled prior
to July for the school year starting in September.

The
Transportation Department works to assist schools in meeting
their transportation needs. But the rule of eight applies to
all magnet programs. This means that at least eight students
from an area must be riding on that route. A new route is not
developed to meet the needs of an individual child.
