Nye PrimeTime Summer Program
June 22-July 17  8:30-1:00

All SDUSD students welcomePrimetime summer
PrimeTime will be offering a summer PrimeTime program at Nye Elementary School this year.  The program will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily and is open to all current K-5th grade San Diego Unified School District students. The program will be offering a comprehensive, high-quality half day summer program which includes, but is not limited to, academic instruction with a credentialed teacher, enrichment and physical fitness activities. A free snack will be provided.  The Summer Enrollment Packet must be submitted, by mail to:

Military Tutoring
  • What is the cost of SOAR?
    SOAR is FREE. There are no costs associated with registration or use of the program.
  • Who is eligible to use SOAR?
    SOAR was designed for all military families worldwide and classmates of military dependents in schools serving military installations. Coast Guard, Reserve, and National Guard families are also eligible.
  • What grade levels does SOAR target?
    SOAR content is most appropriate for students in grades 3-11. There is limited material available for 2nd grade students.

SD Chargers Open Our New Playground
Safety Darrell Stuckey and cornerback Shareece Wright help open our new Peaceful Playground. The NFL's San Diego Chargers, brought a Peaceful Playground and an Action Based Learning Lab to students at Nye Elementary. Stuckley urged students to eat right by eating from all five food groups. Wright spoke on the importance of team work and fair play. School Board Vice President, Marne Foster told students, "Peace, like the Peaceful Playground you received from the Chargers, is the key to a successful and happy life."   for photos, video and more...

Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Our parking lot will be closed every morning from 7:30am-2:30pm. If your vehicle is parked in the parking lot during the time when the gates are closed, 7:30am-2:30pm, you will be asked to wait until the end of the drop off or pick up time 2:30 pm to move it.  Supervisors & Staff are on duty to help with traffic flow on the street and maintain the safety of our children.
