SAN DIEGO – Parents wishing to place their children in Magnet Schools and other options for enrollment in the 2009-10 school year have another month to wait before applications are accepted.
The application period for the 2009-10 school year will begin November 1 and end January 31, 2009.
San Diego Unified School District has more than 50 schools involved in Magnet and other programs, ranging from Mandarin Chinese Language to Physical Education. The district's Enrollment Options Program oversees this choice-based learning, helping parents match the program with their child's interests.
The three-month application period is not first-come, first served; each application will be judged equally, as long as it is submitted between November 1 and January 31.
