‘No Child Left Behind’ is Topic for Public Meeting
Rep. Davis, SDUSD Invite County-Wide Input

SAN DIEGO – A discussion by educators, parents and citizens on the No Child Left Behind Act, sponsored by the San Diego Unified School District and Rep. Susan Davis (D-San Diego), is scheduled from 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, August 27, at San Diego High School in downtown San Diego.
The forum is expected to provide input for Davis, who as a member of the House Education and Labor Committee, will be taking testimony on the act’s renewal later this year. Davis will moderate the discussion; Carl Cohn, Superintendent of the San Diego Unified School District, is host of the event.
Panelists are scheduled to include superintendents from districts throughout San Diego County, including Randolph Ward, Superintendent, San Diego County Office of Education; Sue Coyle, Coronado Unified School District; Carol Parish, South Bay Union School District; and Ernie Anastos, Lemon Grove School District.
Other guests include Cindy McIntyre, President, San Diego Unified Council of PTA; and Camille Zombro, President, San Diego Education Association.
