RE: PROGRAMS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH EXCEPTIONAL NEEDS

San Diego City Schools, in addressing the needs of all students, operates the following programs for individuals with exceptional needs:

  • Special Education Early Childhood Education
  • Deaf
  • Deaf/Blind
  • Hard of Hearing
  • Mentally Retarded
  • Multi-Handicapped
  • Orthopedically Impaired
  • Other Health Impaired
  • Seriously Emotionally Disturbed
  • Specific Learning Disability
  • Speech Impaired
  • Visually Handicapped
  • Autistic
  • Traumatic Brain Injury

These programs serve eligible pupils from birth through 21 and are provided under the Master Plan for Special Education guidelines.
