Tuition Reimbursement To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must successfully complete coursework or training designed to improve current job knowledge and skills, to prepare for promotion, or to teach new job skills that can be utilized by the District. The maximum amount that can be claimed varies by bargaining unit. Traveling expenses, parking fees, non-mandatory student body fees, school supplies and other incidental costs cannot be reimbursed. Approval should be obtained before any expense is incurred by the employee. An employee who terminates employment with the District within 12 months of receiving tuition reimbursement must refund the amount of the reimbursement to the District or it will be deducted from the final warrant. For more information, refer to the Tuition Reimbursement Article of the relevant bargaining unit’s contract. Contracts are available on the district's Collective Bargaining page. |
