BEGINNING OF THE YEAR CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
This school year, we are using our School Messenger system to inform families of their student’s initial classroom placements. At Kumeyaay Elementary the classroom placement process is a professional team effort. The principal and staff work closely together to assign student placements with district and state criteria in mind. During the first weeks of school, enrollment and staffing allocations stabilize. Sometimes it is necessary to reorganize classrooms. If reorganization is necessary, every effort is made to reorganize classes as early as possible to cause the least amount of disruption to our children.
If at any time you are concerned about your child’s placement or educational program, please contact your child’s teacher. Often times, parents and teachers are able to develop a plan to help students adjust to the new school year and learning environment.

*If you have completed the enrollment process and our system has not informed you of your child’s placement, please check in at the front office on the first day of school or see one of our staff members in the front/center of campus on the first day.
