Cardinals! Meet our new Principal!family
Members of the Hoover Learning Community, my name is Joe Austin, and I am thrilled to have been selected as Hoover's new principal!
I began my career in San Diego Unified in 1992, and spent nearly twenty years as a high school teacher and site administrator. For the last three years, I was principal at Joyner Elementary, here in the Hoover Cluster, providing me with an opportunity to get to know this incredible community.

City Heights is rich with diversity and potential--just like our students. I am completely committed to helping build on our strengths at Hoover, and to working together to create exciting new opportunities for Hoover Cardinals. I look forward to meeting you,  Together, I know that we make a difference in the lives of our students.
