Marketing Committee: The Marketing Committee helps keep parents "in the loop" when it comes to PTA-sponsored events, issues and programs. The Marketing Committee works to ensure that parents, teachers and other friends of Green have all the information they need to plan their household calendars, so that all PTA activities are well-understood and attended. The chair of the Marketing Committee is Ilise Bush.
Family Events Committee: The Family Events Committee organizes and runs all-school, all-family events like PTA's Spring Spectacular, Family Movie Night and "No TV Week." The focus of the Family Events Committee is on fun, low- or no-cost activities that involve the entire family. The chair of the Family Events Committee is Ashley Sampier.
Hospitality Committee: The Hospitality Committee plans and runs PTA events which say "thank you" to the many people making up our great Green community. These events include "Muffins for Moms," "Donuts for Dads," the "Welcome Coffee" on the first day of school, and Staff Appreciation Week at the end of the year. The chair of the Hospitality Committee is Kathy Conrad.
Garden Committee: The Garden Committee oversees our fantastic classroom garden program. The Garden Committee plans grade-level-appropriate garden activities, working with teachers to incorporate the gardens into lesson plans, and giving all of our kids a chance to make things grow. The chair of the Garden Committee is Val Quick.
Membership Committee: The Membership Committee focuses on bringing parents, teachers and other "friends of Green" together for a common goal: supporting our kids through active PTA membership. In addition to promoting PTA membership year-round, the Membership Committee also runs our "Gecko Gear" program and coordinates PTA activities with our fantastic Room Parents. The chair of the Membership Committee is Dawna Hermanson.
Programs Committee: The Programs Committee seeks out fun, challenging and enriching after-school programs and in-school assemblies that have the potential to engage all of our kids and broaden their horizons. The chair of the Programs Committee is Kim Swain.
Ways & Means Committee: The Ways & Means Committee runs the fundraising activities of PTA. The Ways & Means Committee looks for fun, creative ways to bring in the funds that allow PTA to provide enriching activities for all of our little Geckos. The chair of the Ways & Means Committee is Brandie Cronin.
Gecko Gala Committee: The Gecko Gala Committee organizes, plans and puts on PTA's largest fundraiser, the Gecko Gala. The Gecko Gala (which will be held on November 14 this year) is a fun, adults-only dinner and live auction which gives parents a chance to mix and mingle while money is raised for the best cause of all: our kids.
Yearbook Committee: The Yearbook Committee works with parents, kids, teachers and staff to create and collect the great photos and memories all year long. Towards the end of the school year, the Committee creates Green?s annual yearbook.
