2006/2007 Seminar Task Force Committee Information

San Diego Unified School District's Operating Procedure 4236 defines the two separate programs under the GATE Department for the district. Along with defining the structure and training for teachers, the procedure also outlines the timeline for task force review committees. Committees are to be composed of site administrators, teachers, parents, and representatives from the GATE Central Office and GATE PGT. Article 7 of the procedure revised on September 13, 2004, identifies the 2006-2007 school year as the year for the Seminar Task Force Review Committee.

OPEN FORUM FOR SEMINAR PARENTS
On September 16, 2006, at the Harold Ballard Center in Old Town, and Open Forum meeting was held for parents and community members to receive their input for the Seminar Programs in their areas. The forum ran from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and allowed the GATE Program Manager, Adalia Lavado, hear concerns and comments from the audience members. The following are the forms connected to this session.

SEMINAR TASK FORCE COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Seminar task Force Meetings were held on October 10th, November 14th, 2006, January 29th, and February 13th, 2007. The committee were composed of site administrators, certificated staff, parents, and community members. They were originally grouped according to feeder patterns, then were broken into sub-committees. Below are the forms connected to these sessions.
