The most colorful and caring school in San Diego!

For more than half a century our school has been the heart of Hillcrest, educating generations of students. Our school was built and inspired by the great Italian center of the Renaissance, the eternal city of Florence. It is only fitting that our campus has virtually every wall and surface adorned with colorful and welcoming artwork created in part by the students themselves.

As Principal Mary Hope Estill explains, "This is not just the school they go to. This is their school."

The staff and community pitch in with their time, talent and heart to help all students reach their potential, despite the challenges they face in the outside world. Inside the safe and lovely walls of Florence School, the sky is the limit for our students.
