Patriot Day

Overview
On December 18, 2001, the United States Congress designated September 11 of each year as "Patriot Day,” to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. On that day, and in its aftermath, our nation witnessed the bravery of the victims and the heroism of the first responders who laid down their lives to save others. In commemoration, flags should be flown at half-staff this Thursday, September 11, 2008.
