11/8/05: Important! Peoplesoft upgrade

To the users of PeopleSoft:

This weekend beginning Thursday, November 10 at 11:45pm, the Information Technology group will be performing a technical upgrade to all production PeopleSoft environments. All PeopleSoft applications will be unavailable until Monday, November 14.

Note: Due to the unavailability of the system, the Budget Detail Transaction Report will not be produced or distributed this weekend.

The upgrade to PeopleSoft will not affect the functionality of the applications you use. You will, however, notice a new look and feel to the menu structure within PeopleSoft. The menus have been enhanced to allow you to access pages you use in less clicks. Of course, the favorites menu and the current navigation method will still be available if that is your preference.

2/28/05: Encore! will be unavailable on March 4, 2005 for upgrade. There will be an upgrade to the Encore application in the morning on Friday, March 4, 2005. We anticipate that this will be completed by 3 p.m. If the system is up before that time, you will be notified via the listserv. Please plan on Encore NOT being available for use until 3 p.m.

This upgrade will provide a number of improvements. Details about the changes to the look of the screens and some of the enhancements are now available on the Encore! Presentations page.

Open lab is being held in Room B3 only on March 4 due to another training in Room B2. We will be available to help you on all PeopleSoft applications.

You do not need to register for Open Labs, but we do attend to people on a first-come, first-served basis.
