12/6/04: PeopleSoft System & Support Notification
All Central Offices, including the Eugene Brucker Education Center (Ed Center),
will be closed for the Winter Break starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, December
17, 2004. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2005. As a result
of this closure, the PeopleSoft Support Line will not be available. Also, please
note there will be periodic outages of DWA applications specifically on the
weekends of December 18-19 and January 1-2.

9/15/04: expiring passwords: Because of the
sensitive nature of DWA information, DWA (PeopleSoft, Zangle and Zangle/TeacherConnection)
user passwords are set to expire every 180 days. An email message
will be sent to you in advance, warning that your password will soon expire.
When you get this message, please change your password at the DWA
Password Change page at https://dwa.sandi.net/passwd/. For more information
and samples of the error messages you will see if you attempt to log in
with an expired password, see Zangle/TeacherConnection
login error or PeopleSoft
login error.
9/15/04: Employee Self Service is Here!: The
DWA Project Team is pleased to announce the roll-out of PeopleSoft's self-service
applications. As a result, the District will realize a direct savings as
we move from manual processes to employee self-service. Did you know that
a paper-based home or mailing address change could cost upwards of $12
per change? With self-service, we can save over 70% as we strive to reduce
that cost to $3. Check the HR

7/7/04: New PeopleSoft Courses Offered: New
courses on Creating Travel Authorizations and Expense Reports and on the "new
and improved" PAR will be offered soon. Check the course

7/1/04: Zangle Deployment Schedule updated: Visit
the DWA-Student Time Line page for
an up-to-date schedule of when schools will be trained on Zangle.
6/21/04: Welcome to Zangle! The year-round
elementary schools in the San Diego High School cluster went live
on Zangle on Monday, June 21. Congratulations!
6/3/04: Open Lab is Back! If you'd like help
with PeopleSoft ePro, Time and Labor or PAR, come to
the Open Lab on June 9 (8:30-11:30 a.m.) or June 10 (1-
3:30 p.m.) at the IMC Bldg I - Horizon lab. First come, first served basis.
5/25/04: DWA training needs survey: In anticipation
of the change in staff likely to occur in the 04-05 school year due to
bumping, the Training Team has put together an online 2004-05
Training Needs Survey. Principals at all schools should complete
the survey by
June 11. The survey addresses expected training needs for PeopleSoft,
Zangle and Encore!.

4/05/04: PeopleSoft Phase II Kicks-Off! On
April 1, a kick-off for Phase II of the DWA PeopleSoft project was held.
For all the details on the new modules being implemented, as well as the

on Zangle! Welcome to the 14 schools in these clusters!
3/3/04: More PeopleSoft Administrator courses offered! Administrator
training will be offered on March 19 and March
24 at Roosevelt B2 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Choose one class
to learn about your site's PeopleSoft reports (budget, vacant position,
allocation status, etc.) and how to submit PARs to Central Office for approval.

With PeopleSoft, you'll notice that pay stubs, direct deposit advices,
and salary schedules have a new appearance. For descriptions of the changes

1/27/04: Approving PARS: Site Administrators
