Teaching & Human Services Academy
The Patrick Henry High School Teaching and Human Services Academy is designed for any student interested in psychology, social work, recreation, pediatric medical support, or teaching. It is composed of collaborative teachers from several departments including the College, Career & Technical Education (CCTE) department, along with the Social Science and English departments.
These teamed classes offer students the advantages of cross-curricular projects, common teachers, on-campus teaching with peers, and off-campus teaching with young children. In addition, students of the academy are members of the Future Educators of America (FEA) Club and have the opportunity to participate in related leadership activities, field trips, and scholarships.
