The Social Studies Department seeks to create a student body able to excel in today’s demanding global environment; to effectively integrate cultural and historical skills with the arts and other academic subjects; to become positive and active citizens in society; to apply multiple perspectives, cultural and historical knowledge to the “real world”; and who are critical and analytical thinkers as well as effective researchers.
