The Creative Writing major nurtures the natural talent of aspiring writers. Students will analyze great writers—past and present—in order to understand the true art and craft of the creative writing process. Such analysis coupled with experimentation and refinement in their own written work in the areas of poetry, short stories, memoirs, and drama will allow the students an advanced mastery of their craft. The Creative Writing major will unite talented, published authors with students in order to inspire and challenge the developing creative writing artist.
