The second practice each week will be on Tuesdays, 11:35 am - 12:15 pm, from January 10 through March 27.
Every year the brightest and the best students from schools compete in an event called "Academic League." Throughout the year, the Mt. Everest Academic league practices together weekly with coach Mrs. Emily Jacobs. Answering a series of questions for all core subjects, the contestants try to outwit and out-maneuver their opponents in a set of matches to reach the finals.
Competitions with other schools take place for about 8 weeks during the months of February to April. During the competition phase, an extra daytime practice and evening competitions are included in the Academic League schedule.
