**COSMOS Application Workshop #2 will be held on Thursday after school (2:30pm) in room 302.  Bring your rough draft responses to the application prompts for review.  We will complete the online application at the workshop!  Get your application in to one of the best summer programs out there!  See you there!

**COME ONE, come all to visit Future Educator's Association in the Hungry Tiger with Monique Anderson's story of becoming a teacher on Monday, February 27 at lunch.  We will munch Pizza, fortune cookies, juice and salad.  Please come to the new Hungry Tiger front room!  On Monday, March 12 and Monday, March 26, we will also meet in the Hungry Tiger to proofread FEA scholarships and turn in to our district representative, Amparo Romo.  Bring your scholarship application March 12 and March 26.  Ms. Doan

**Future Educators will be meeting after school Thursdays, 2:15 to 3:45pm to make cute purses, carriers from recycled bags.  Please bring any bags that you would like to recycle and choose the style of purse or bag that you like.  It's free and fun!!!!!!!!!!!  Ms. Doan

 

APEX Students: You must attend orientation with Ms. Schott before you can begin APEX.  Please come prepared with all your paperwork from counseling.  APEX DOES NOT offer courses in science!!  All students must be checking in twice a week.  SENIORS: If you no longer need an APEX course because you made up a class in CRASH or anywhere else, you still need to meet with Ms. Schott to get your classes withdrawn. ~ Ms. Schott

 

COUPONS!  The classes of Ms. Coronel, Mr. Cleek, Ms. Pratt, and Ms. Goldberg are offering a free coupon clipping service.  This service will give our students a meaningful job on campus & enable them to develop various skills.  A bin of coupons will be placed in the mail room in the main office. Feel free to take as many coupons as you like.  All expired coupons will be donated to military families, who are able to use them overseas, 6 months past the expiration date.  Any questions or comments, please contact Ms. Coronel (Bautista): rbautista@sandi.net

BLOOD DRIVE:  Our second blood drive of the year will be held on Friday, February 24, 8am-2pm in the Auditorium.  Stop by the ASB Room (B102) to get a blood drive form today!  ASB

 

SENIORS, DON'T MISS OUT ON SENIOR DEDICATION AD SPACE IN THE 2012 YEARBOOK!  Pages are filling fast.  For many years to come, people will be able to view this Dedication with your personal entry and photos.  Up to 8 seniors can share a page (or 16 seniors for a double page spread), get your friends together and create that senior friendship page in the yearbook!  Come to yearbook, room 603, to pick up your order form OR download it from Morse's website.  Ad prices are $30, $60, $120 or $240 depending on size.  Payment and form must be submitted to the Finance Office.  Ms. Rolf

Seniors - planning to go to a community college next year?  Apply for a $7,000 Scholarship offered by the Masons of California!  Applications due February 28th.  Stop by B-15 or the Career Center for an application.—GEAR UP

It’s here JUNIORS!  Stop by B-15 today to pick up a Nor Cal College Tour Application!  GEAR UP will be visiting colleges in Northern California during Spring Break for FREE!  Earn another 50 points toward your application by verifying you have signed up for the SAT or ACT.  Applications are due Friday, March 2nd.  See Mrs. Feaster or Mr. Wegener for more information.—GEAR UP

PASTA FOR PENNIES, benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, donations will be accepted through February 24.  Donate coins in your 4th period classrooms!  The school goal is $700 and each classroom goal is $10.  The classroom collecting the most money at each school is awarded a Pasta Party, delivered to their classroom by their local Olive Garden Restaurant! 

 

Seniors & Juniors who are interested in a career in medicine, stop by the GEAR UP room to sign up for Pharmacy Day at UCSD, Saturday, February 25th!  Become an expert in immunizations, hypertension, asthma, or diabetes!  Stop by B-15 for more information.—GEAR UP

 

$cholarship Opportunity for Seniors!  The Cal-SOAP Rewarding College Dreams Application is now available!  Earn $1,000 for attending a Community College or $2,000 for attending a 4-year College or University.  Several of our very own Morse Tigers were awarded this scholarship last year…make this YOUR year!  Deadline to apply is March 15.  Stop by B-15 or the Career Center for an application today!--GEAR UP
