From the moment you walk on to Clairemont's campus two miles from the Pacific Ocean, we stand out. We have the only astronomy observatory in all of San Diego schools. The centerpiece to our landscaped grounds is our water lilly pond and our expansive gardens, which performing double-duty to beautify our campus and serve as a lab for science classes. for science classes.
Built in 1960, the school's classic mid-20th century Southern California architecture and campus appearance are pleasing and well groomed. Students feel proud of their school and contribute to its cleanliness.
Providing safe and well-maintained schools is a top priority for the school district. To ensure that all classrooms and facilities are maintained in a manner that supports instruction, a scheduled maintenance program is administered by the district.
Teachers have access to a centralized workroom, reading resource room, staff-development room, a multi-purpose media room, and a room for adaptive physical education. Improvements are underway with funding from Proposition S that include state-of-the art wiring for technology.
