Social Studies 6th
World History and Geography: Ancient Civilizations

Our historical focus in 6th Grade is Ancient Civilizations. Due to the rich curriculum, some units may be covered over a longer period of time than others in order to address the entire curriculum.  Each of the units to be covered throughout the year will involve various reading strategies, individual reading and writing assignments, group and paired activities, and numerous artistic and challenging projects to immerse the students into a deeper understanding of the civilizations being studied.

 
World History and Geography 7th
World History and Geography: Medieval and Early Modern Times

Our historical focus is the Medieval World, specifically the significant people, places, and events of Africa, Europe, and Asia from the 6th through the 18th centuries C.E.  Due to the extensive curriculum, some units may be covered over a longer period of time than others in order to address the entire curriculum.  Each of the units to be covered throughout the year will involve various reading strategies, individual reading and writing assignments, group and paired activities and numerous artistic and academically challenging projects to immerse the students into a deeper understanding of the culture being studied.

United States History and Geography 8th
United States History and Geography: Growth and Conflict

Our historical focus in 8th grade is U.S. History and is quite extensive. Due to the rich curriculum, some units may be covered over a longer period of time than others in order to address the entire curriculum.  Each of the units to be covered throughout the year will involve various reading strategies, individual reading and writing assignments, group and paired activities, and numerous artistic and challenging projects to immerse the students into a deeper understanding of the period being studied.
