From Athletic Director, Rick Jackson
Madison's Boys track team is looking for their 4th straight league title. Led by Dotun Ogundeji and a flock of other returning athletes, they are poised to continue their dominance. Our Girls Track team seems to have much more interest in 2013 with over 40 athletes coming out to compete. The excitement around our new facility has been infectious and students are flocking to our sports teams.
Baseball looks to push for a CIF Championship in 2013. With the new alignment of our Divisions, they have made the jump to compete in Division 2. Led by Ian Clarkin, our four year starter and USD bound pitcher, our baseball team looks to make some noise as the season gets going.
Softball is also looking to continue their success, they have been CIF finalists the past two seasons. Led by Reyna Johnson, the Lady Warhawks look to make another run deep into the playoffs.
Long time golf coach Mike Norton will lead our boys golf team once again this year, and with some big swingers, they look poised to make some noise in CIF.
We also have a growing Badminton team led by Chung Kim that has erupted into a very competitive program throughout the city.
Our boys Volleyball team is continuing a rebuilding process. With 2nd year coach Brian Hargrove, he is bringing consistency and great leadership to the volleyball courts.
Our newest coach leads the Boys Tennis program. Coach Jeff Ray has a lot of experience in tennis and has brought a wealth of knowledge and energy to the courts here at Madison.
We have had a fantastic year in Madison Athletics and our Spring Seasons will continue the tradition as we move into the summer and into our next school year!!!
