My goal as principal of Carson Elementary School is to work collaboratively with the entire school community to foster the academic and social development of our students. I’m committed to excellence in education and I believe all students deserve the benefit of a committed advocate. My experience in education, as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and administrator, includes ensuring the highest level of service to meet and exceed the needs of every student.
As an Instructional Leader, I actively support the efforts of teachers to meet the needs of a diverse population of students through collaboration around elements of effective instruction, unit and lesson planning to get at the big ideas, and using data to plan specific interventions.
I understand the need to prepare our students for the 21st century global marketplace and I work directly with teachers to support students’ ability to think critically and make sense of their learning through academic rigor, relevance, and engaging activities.
