STARS

What is STARS?

The STARS Program is a program where students receive specialized education services based on individual needs after a referral process has been met.

Students use technology throughout the school day to assist in compensating for learning disabilities. Also, students receive individual support in academic and social/emotional areas with a favorable student to adult ratio.

Students are of average to superior cognitive ability and require a level of instructional support not offered at their neighborhood school. The population is noncategorical. Students can access the general education curriculum with support and modifications either in the general education classroom or in a STARS special day class setting. The STARS program encompasses grades first through twelfth.
