Special Education

At Taft Middle School students with special needs can receive a variety of support in a variety of environments.  Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) teachers provide services in the general education setting and in the smaller separate class environment depending on each student’s needs. We offer services for students with mild to moderate disabilities as well as students with moderate to sever disabilities.  Taft also has a full time speech and language pathologist who works on communication and language skills with identified students.
