Parents are invited to be involved at school in the following ways: Clairemont Community of Schools Events; Back-to-School Night; PTSA Unit and Board Meetings; School Site Council; Site Governance Team; English Learner Advisory Committee Meetings; GATE Parent Meetings; Principal Chats; and individual meetings held with teachers , counselors, and administrators.

Parent ideas for improvement will be solicited at these meetings and will be shared with the School Site Council to provide organized,ongoing, and timely ways of involving parents in the planning, review, and decision-making process for Title I. Parents can expect a timely response to questions, suggestions, and concerns.

Every attempt is made to contact parents in the language of the parents. There are several people in the Marston school office who speak Spanish. Spanish speaking office staff include:

We use Connect-Ed services, to contact parents in the language of their homes regarding school events and to keep parent alerted to issues regarding academics, attendance,and behavior.
On-line access to Parent Connection is available through the school and district websites, providing up-to-date information about attendance, grades, test results, and student directory information.
Parents are notified annually of individual student assessment results by the Research and Reporting Department and the Testing Department. An explanation of the information is available in several languages.
