The Monroe Clark Parent Center serves as a resource hub of information and services that engage parents with the school to support their children’s well being.
Core Areas:
– Parent Capacity Development
– Family Wellness
– Parent Leadership & Community Development
• Social workers support family well being through case management, referral to outside agencies, counseling, crisis intervention, and brokering resources within the school and community. Social Workers and Parent Center staff collaborate with teachers, counselors, school administration and parents to assure wrap around services.
• Parents receive training and develop new skills to support their children’s development both physically and emotionally. Parents gain knowledge about their children academically and socially and serve as their advocate within the school system and family.
• Parents develop skills and a voice that engages them in the school and community system to see themselves as leaders at home and in their neighborhoods.
