What is TKF?
The Tariq Khamisa
Foundation (TKF) is dedicated to transforming violence-prone, at-risk youth
into nonviolent, achieving individuals and creating safe and
productive schools.
Through the Safe School Model approach Monroe Clark Middle school students are
taught about the realities of violence, forgiveness, gangs, and the importance
of making positive choices in their lives.
What We Do
TKF provides
comprehensive school-based nonviolence programs and curriculum within the
school. Services include intensive one-on-one mentoring, small group skill
building workshops, in-class evidence based curriculum facilitation, violence
prevention assemblies, and school-wide community service projects. TKF works to
not only transform youth, but also a school’s culture in order for students to
feel safe in their learning environments.
