support that leads to greater student learning, stronger families and

• Linking school, home and community
• Increase student motivation
• Understand familiar development factors that inhibit learning
• Conduct individual, group and family counseling
• Teach coping and problem solving skills
• Build ongoing relationships confronting difficult issues

REDUCE BARRIERS TO LEARNING
• Develop parent understanding of their children’s social and emotional needs
• Assist students in increasing coping skills to succeed in school
• Identify, assist and refer students with health and mental health needs
• Develop prevention programs (character education, violence prevention,attendance and drop out)
• Increase access to community resources to
assist students and families whose personal needs and living situations
affect school success.
