We are committed to maintaining an environment where families are welcomed and encouraged to participate in school activities. Our monthly Family Thursdays support family members with strategies to support their children at home and provide an opportunity for families to read together at school. Family Nights such as Pajama & Family Reading, Math and Fine Arts Nights are opportunities to come together as a community to learn from each other, celebrate successes and have fun as one learning community. We have many programs in place utilizing resources that have had a positive impact on student achievement and social/emotional growth. All teachers have received additional training to support English Learners. Our K-2 teachers have received additional training in theater, visual arts and dance. To further support the arts, we have a credentialed dance teacher which allows all of our students to participate in dance class one hour each week. Our principal, Elizabeth Ballard, is easily accessible to family and community members. In addition to meeting with parents following our school wide Friday Morning Assemblies where she shares student achievement data, updates the parents on school and district issues and answers questions and problem solves with the community to continually strive better support Cadman’s students and families, she hosts monthly Principal’s Coffees Our doors are open and we encourage you to visit Cadman Elementary School! Come to our Opening each morning where we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, sing a patriotic song, and present announcements for the day/week. This gives us a sense of community and common fellowship to begin each day.
