School Days

Getting Started

Students having breakfast may arrive at school at 8:25 a.m. The rest of the students may arrive at 8:30 a.m. when supervision begins on the blacktop. For their safety, please do not let children come to school earlier.

Children in all grades line up in their designated class area on the blacktop. All classes begin at 8:45 a.m.

Please have students at school in time for the start of the day. Tardy students disrupt the classroom and the students miss important instruction.

If your child is late, they must go to the office to obtain a tardy slip before going to class. If your child will be absent, please call the office before 8:10 a.m. School office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daily Schedule at Bird Rock

• 8:25 a.m.: Students having breakfast report to school.

• 8:30 a.m.: Students not having breakfast arrive at school and line up in their class' area on the blacktop.

• 8:45 a.m.: Classroom Instruction Begins

• Please do not allow children to arrrive before 8:25 a.m.

Recess

• 1:55-2:10

Lunch and Recess

• 11:45-12:25 p.m.
  

The lunch and recess period is from 11:45-12:25 p.m. Students may bring a lunch or purchase one in the cafeteria. Lunches and milk may be paid for singularly or prepaid in quantity in the cafeteria before school. If a child forgets lunch, he/she may obtain a cafeteria voucher from the office. Lunch Menu �
